5 Design accounts you should be following on Instagram
Instagram has taken the world by storm. It’s now totally acceptable to see someone taking 50 snaps of their latte just to get the perfect shot, before applying filters and piling up the hashtags ready to post.
I really love Instagram. It’s probably my go-to social media platform of choice, filled with beautiful images of wanderlust adventures, well-composed flat-lays and pictures that people from around the world are most proud of.
The save feature on Instagram now makes it even easier to keep hold of that inspirational snap you found, making it a bit like Pinterest as a place to store up your inspiration. And today we’re talking about design inspiration.
An image-rich paradise, Instagram is the perfect place for designers to showcase their portfolio, share stages of their current projects, or show off their creative flair and artistry.
We had a flick through the popular hashtags to find out how some of the most inspiring designers are utilising Instagram to showcase their work to the world:
Radim Malinic / Brand Nu
Radim is a creative director & designer, speaker and author of Book of Ideas. Harry Potter fans, look out for the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child theatre book that Radim was the art director and a co-designer on.
Graphical House
Telling engaging stories through design. Expect to see bold colours, clean lines and magical font pairings on this Instagram account, where the design does the talking.
Heydays
From animated logos to cute packaging, financial reports to magazines, Heydays design it all and their Instagram acts as a beautiful portfolio of their work. We’re loving those flat lays.
The Design Kids
The Design Kids is a community Instagram account featuring the work of student and graduate designers alike, so it’s a great place to see a real mix of design inspiration. You can submit your own work to be featured on the account by checking the current hashtag in the account bio.
Hey Studio
Based in Barcelona, Hey Studio produces some pretty amazing designs. We found ourselves scrolling through their Instagram for quite a while! They also have a really cool website where you can buy prints, notebooks or even a tote bag.
