Mitch’s Favourite WordPress Themes for April 2016

Best Portfolio / Agency: Heli

Minimal – Heli

This clean and modern portfolio theme is perfect for anyone after a minimalist website. Whether you are an agency or a freelancer, this light, monotone theme will help promote your work beautifully. With an array of different layouts and styles, Heli also offers a great collection of features including WooCommerce compatibility & the ability to change the design of the menus. This Heli theme by ThemeMove sure does offer a premium-standard experience.

Best Blog: Onyx

EckoThemes – Onyx WordPress Theme

This well-designed blog by Ecko Themes is great for anyone looking for an organised and intuitive blog, the variation of styles on the homepage is something that is hard to find in the WordPress theme world. The Onyx theme also gives you the ability to easily switch between light and dark styles and has an incredible loading speed of less than one second. So if you’re after that masonry type theme blog then I highly recommend you give Onyx a try.

Best Magazine: Libero

Libero – Blog & Magazine – Just another WordPress site

The best magazine theme for April goes to Libero by Liberthemes. This stylish theme is superb for any budding journalist that wants to showcase their work. The theme is fully customisable with the help of our little friend, Visual Composer, ensuring Libero not only has a great front end experience but an intuitive back end one too.

Best Corporate: Seo Rocket

SeoRocket – Just another WordPress site

This Corporate theme by ThemeREX is a our winner for April. The sleek, cool, but not overly corporate, theme will do a fantastic job for any startups that are looking for a theme to get going with. It has a minimal vibe to it and doesn’t just suit one type of business but instead supports a large majority of different industries. We highly recommend Seo Rocket if your looking for a corporate theme which isn’t sterile or boring!

Personal Favourite: Node

Meetup Home – Node

The Node theme for Meetups is my personal favourite for April, the superb choice of fonts is an obvious deal clincher for me. The design in its entirety is aesthetically pleasing and Edge Theme have done a great job in capturing the vibe that surrounds the countless meetups hosted around world.
